Development and innovation are two important parts of KB Components and they are constantly involved in a number of different research projects in order to keep the company in focus in new technology. One of these projects is DIP (Digital twin for development and installation of production systems) and is part of Vinnova’s focus on keeping Swedish industry at the forefront. This includes both students from Chalmers and Lund University of Technology together with selected people from the company.
The project aims to develop methods for using new technology, such as 3D scanning, planning and introduction of new and modified production cells and flows. The project runs until 2022.
