A world-leading technology supplier to the most demanding customers in the market
The KB Group celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2017, having grown from a small family-held company to a global group of companies. Our sales are now over SEK 1 billion, and we have more than 800 employees across seven production units in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Our largest customers are in the automotive industry, including Volvo Cars, VW, Audi and Mercedes. In addition to the automotive industry, we serve major industrial customers such as FM Mattsson and Philips.
KB Components employees are part of an industrial elite delivering the development and production of high-tech polymer components to the most demanding customers in the market. We contribute to sustainable development by working with our customers to develop energy-efficient and recyclable products for a better and greener world. Many of our employees are specialists in automation, injection-moulding and mould design , but you’ll also find cutting-edge expertise in other areas such as sales, quality, sourcing and technology.
Erik Haraldsson is the Technical & Project Director and serves on both our global management team and the local management team in Anderstorp.
”My job is to keep the KB Group on the cutting edge of technology and processes. I am often directly involved in customer enquiries and ensure optimal use of our technical resources. In Technical & Project, you regularly support your colleagues around the world, which is both stimulating and fruitful.”
”My most important role is to ensure that all our companies get the best terms possible from our suppliers. We improve our supplier base on an ongoing basis, and we leverage our global presence and the entire group’s purchasing volume to help win new business and improve the Group’s profitability.”
Sofia is also a strong ambassador for our efforts to create a Great Place to Work and serves on the activity committee in Örkelljunga.
Sigita Razaite started working at KB Components in Lithuania but was given the opportunity to be transferred to Örkelljunga in 2012. Now Sigita is a quality manager in Örkelljunga and leads ongoing quality efforts.
”As a member of the KB Components sales staff, you’ll constantly seek to understand your customers’ needs and help them be more competitive. The job has a lot of variety, ranging from taking the lead on large quotes to assisting in the development of new products and the management of complaints and returns.”
Technical & Project
”As a metrology engineer, you’ll ensure that products meet customers’ geometric requirements. Much of my work is done using our programmable/CNC-controlled coordinate measuring machines, which are equipped with features including a laser scanner. This enables both on-site and remote measurement in the same measurement program, which is directly linked to 3D drawing. I feel it’s important to adapt customer requirement specifications to modern methods, opening the door to the amazing possibilities of new technology – effective evaluation and easily comprehensible measurement results. Working in the Technical & Project department demands curiosity and a constant willingness to learn more and share your expertise both internally and with our customers.”
”Working as an operator at KB Components demands a thorough approach and attention to detail because you are responsible for production, inspection and reporting. My work can sometimes be stressful but I really enjoy it thanks to my colleagues and the company’s efforts to create a good work environment”
”My job includes everything from recruiting new employees to assisting in reorganization processes and negotiations with our union representatives. Working for a company whose owners and management so clearly emphasize the importance of job satisfaction and engagement is very stimulating. I serve on the Great Place To Work steering committee and collaborate closely with each of the department heads. We work with external consultants on leadership and HR training to help achieve our goals.”
Jörgen Jönsson works as a process engineer.
”My job includes drawing up requirement specifications for machines and robots for KB to buy, cycle time calculations and work instructions. I also provide training and briefing on the new products, which is in fact the primary task of this department. That is to say, preparing run data to analyse for these products.” Other parts of my job include rationalization, continuous improvements and supporting Production because we have many advanced products and processes.
I’ve had two stints with KB (totalling just over 28 years), both enjoyable, mainly because of the wide variety of my tasks and the great people here. KB is home to many people with solid and broad knowledge, and it’s also both positive and fun to see so much reinvested back into the company.”
Jörgen Martinsson is the Logistics Manager at KB Components.
”As head of logistics, I am responsible for ensuring we plan production in line with the orders and delivery times from our customers. At Logistics, we are faced with new challenges and problems to solve every day. It is stimulating to be at the heart of production and get every part to gel so that the customers get what they ordered on time. After more than 30 years with the company, coming to work still feels just as exciting and stimulating.”
